We’re very excited to announce that we have won the professional services category for the 2021 Premier’s NSW Export Award.

This high profile award, presented on the 21st of October 2021, aims to recognise the success and resilience of NSW exporters and their achievements in the international market. There are 13 categories, and the winner of each is now put forward as a contender for the National Export Awards.

“We’re extremely grateful to the Export Council of Australia for this outstanding recognition,” says Managing Director, John Vagenas.

“It’s a great testament to the quality of our digital twin technology, which has been successfully implemented in 23 sites globally, across 8 countries, 4 continents and in 4 languages… as well as to our multilingual training and support.”

“Adoption of our technology has been part of the solution to many of the challenges that organisations in the metals and minerals sector face today – whether it’s reducing greenhouse gas emissions, power and gas consumption; driving stronger ESG credentials to attract and retain talent; or accelerating digital transformation to drive essential process efficiencies and insight,” he adds.

The professional services category was hotly contested for this year’s award, with four other very successful organisations being short-listed.

“From a professional services context, one of the things that really sets us apart is our team of subject matter experts. We work very closely with our customers from the outset to create customised process optimisation solutions, and we also offer dedicated, experienced and trained metallurgists, developers and engineers who can help at every step,” says John.

“Right now, the world’s reliance on critical minerals is increasing at a significant rate. Meeting clean energy targets, and reaching net-zero emissions by 2050, in line with the goals of the Paris agreement, will require four to six times more mineral production than today.”

“Metallurgical Systems is uniquely placed to help organisations optimise the processing of these minerals, as we have more than 20 years’ consulting experience in the sector. Additionally, our digital twin technology has been built to specifically handle the complex chemistry and process dynamics of this finite resource and has been successfully implemented for critical minerals processing plants around the world,” he adds.

The national winners of the 59th Australian Export Awards will be announced on Thursday 25 November – so stay tuned!
